Challenge
The challenge for ProStar was to relaunch multiple e-commerce web sites, including Prostar's Rugby site for rugby-specific sportswear and ProStar's Police site for the exclusive use of the UK Police Force, on a new platform that enabled easy administrative capability for content, catalogue, promotion and merchandising changes.
ProStar was in addition looking to elevate the look and feel of their brand across their online presence to mirror their market-leading status, and required an integrated solution with their back-end warehousing system to automate the order process.
Solution
The multi-site eCommerce solution included powerful product personalisation functionality to allow many of ProStar’s garments to be personalised with name, number, club badges and sponsor logos.
The system is integrated into the company’s ERP system to give visibility with inventory management, order fulfilment and on-demand manufacturing.
The ProStar rugby project took 12 weeks from the establishment of site goals through to the design, development, testing and launch of the site.
Benefits
Since being launched in June 2009 the ProStar Rugby the B2C eCommerce site has significantly increased its site traffic and more than doubled its online sales within the first year of implementation.
ProStar Police and ProStar Fire B2B eCommerce sites have also given ProStar a significant increase in sales over the past year.
