PureNet on the move

The PureNet Team

PURENET, specialists in delivering e-commerce solutions for some leading names in retail, finance and manufacturing, is on the move  It will switch its headquarters from the IT Centre at York Science Park Ltd, which it has occupied for five years, to Westminster Place at York Business Park in Nether Poppleton next month.  The company will occupy Kensington House, close to York’s outer ring road from May 31.

PureNet’s new headquarters at York Business Park can accommodate up to forty staff, and is necessary because the expanding company has grown beyond the capacity it required at the Science Park.

The move comes as the company is riding high as one of the UK’s leading eCommerce solution providers.  PureNet has achieved a lot in the last year alone including multiple award accolades for their solutions, including the IT Europa award for E-Business and The Press Science & Technology Award.  The company has also contributed to the local economy by generating a number of new employment opportunities in the highly sought-after IT industry.

Co-inciding with the move, the company are riding high with a number of new business wins recently, including the design and build of e-commerce solutions for West Ham United Football Club; Saddleback, a top UK performance bicycle distributor; Syncro Health, a leading health supplement supplier; Green-Tech, landscape, forestry and construction stockists, and Purple Mountain, who offer cycle hire and mountain biking services in Dalby and Kielder Forests.

PureNet’s chief executive, Dr Paul Gibson, said: “We are very excited about the move.  We will be setting up headquarters in the best address in York for business and it will mark the beginning of a whole new era for us.

“We will be arriving at a time of great expansion for the company and the new office will offer the space we need to continue to expand our operation and will enable us to improve our customer communications and services.”

York Science Park Ltd managing director, Tracey Smith, said: “It’s been fantastic to witness PureNet grow over the past five years from a small, fledgling start-up company to the large and award-winning business that they’ve now become.  I’m pleased that the Science Park has provided the environment in which PureNet has been able to grow and develop, and I wish them all the very best as they move out and take their business to the next level.”
