The Challenge
Pepper Pot Studios is a family-run business based in Yorkshire, creating beautiful illustrated map prints of UK and international locations. What started as a hobby, designing prints for family and friends, had grown into a thriving online business with over 120 products spanning UK counties, cities, national parks, and international destinations, plus a bespoke personalisation service where customers can add their own buildings and landmarks to any map.
A Platform to Match the Ambition
As the product range expanded and customer demand grew, Pepper Pot Studios needed an ecommerce platform that could support the business without requiring technical expertise to manage day-to-day. The platform needed to handle a growing catalogue, support international sales across multiple currencies, and provide a seamless customer experience from browsing to checkout.
Personalisation Workflow
A key differentiator for the business is its personalisation service, where customers can request bespoke additions to any map — from their own home to a favourite landmark. The platform needed to support this unique workflow alongside standard product sales, with a clear process for customers to follow.

With maps covering destinations across Europe, the Americas, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Australasia, the business needed to sell internationally with multi-currency support and competitive shipping options, while maintaining free UK delivery as a core part of the offering.
How PureNet Helped
The Project
PureNet worked with Pepper Pot Studios to build a clean, visually-led Shopify store that puts the illustrated artwork front and centre. The site was designed to let the products speak for themselves, with an intuitive browsing experience organised by geography — UK counties, cities, countries, national parks, and islands — as well as international collections.
Shopify was selected as the ideal platform for a growing B2C brand. Its ease of use means the business can manage products, orders, and content independently, while its built-in capabilities around multi-currency support, payment processing, and shipping configuration provided everything needed to serve an international customer base out of the box.
The personalisation product was configured within Shopify to guide customers through the bespoke ordering process, with clear instructions integrated into the product page and a straightforward email-based proofing workflow. Customer reviews were integrated to build trust and showcase the quality of both standard and personalised prints.
The site was built to be fully responsive, ensuring the visual impact of the illustrated maps translates across desktop and mobile devices, and optimised for performance to support organic search visibility.
